His Beatitude Theocletos II (Panagiotopoulos) of Athens was the Archbishop of Athens and All Greece and primate of the Church of Greece from 1957 to 1962.

Life

Archbishop Theocletos was born in 1890. He received his college level education at the University of Athens after which he entered the Holy Orders, becoming a priest.

He was consecrated a bishop in 1931. In 1944, he was appointed Metropolitan of Patrsky?. On August 7, 1957, he was elected Archbishop of Athens and served until January 8, 1962.
