The Standing Conference of Canonical Orthodox Churches in Australia (SCCOCA) was an organisation founded in 1979 under the leadership of Greek Archbishop Stylianos (Harkianakis) of Australia and intended to help cooperation among the Eastern Orthodox jurisdictions in Australia, under the permanent chairmanship of the representative of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.

Current Events

Because of strong tensions created by one of the jurisdictions, the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia had to withdraw from membership.

Each year the member churches celebrate together the Vespers of Orthodoxy on the first Sunday of Lent and the Paschal Liturgy, usually on the Saturday after Pascha.

Since the acceptance by Antiochian Archdiocese under her wings of schismatic Romanian communities run by defrocked priests, the Antiochian church has been excluded from SCCOCA, until such time as these actions are reversed.
