Things I need to remember
Overview
- My name is Vasiliki
- I am a Greek Orthodox Christian from Melbourne, Australia.
- I have travelled to Jerusalem (1997) and have visited many holy sites in Greece (1984, 1994, 1997, 2001, 2004 and 2007).
- I love to read Orthodox based books.
- I am very passionate about "The Truth".
I have been hoping to contribute to a positive Orthodox project for a while and I hope to contribute to this site based on my Greek Orthodox background. I will endeavour to keep my articles neutral but if I am posting a specific Greek Saint (born and bred in Greece) ... I am sure to put a bit of 'salsa' to the article ..

What does IXTHIS mean?
IXTHIS is the Ancient Greek word for fish and was the image used to identify Christianity during the early years. If you were to use the letters of the Greek alphabet, each letter in the word 'Ixthis' represents:
- I - (Isous) - Jesus
- X - (Christos) - Christ
- TH - (Theos) - God
- I - (Ios) - Son
- S - (Sotir) - Saviour
Simply put, Jesus Christ Son of God our Saviour.
