The Gospel of Luke (literally, "according to Luke";) is the third Gospel in the New Testament. Traditionally, it was written by the Apostle Luke, a doctor. The Gospel of Luke was the second or third Gospel to be written.
Authorship and writing of the Gospel
Although the document is internally anonymous, the authorship of this Gospel has been traditionally ascribed to St. Luke.
