Christopher I of Alexandria

Christopher I of Alexandria was the Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria of the Church of Alexandria during the ninth century, serving from 817 to 841.

Life

Almost nothing is known of the life of Pope Christopher. He participated in the Jerusalem Synod of 836 against Iconoclasm. He may have suffered from a paralysis.
