Alexios (Michalopoulos) of Trikki
His Eminence Alexios (Michalopoulos) of Trikki and Stagoi is the Metropolitan of the Metropolis of Trikki and Stagoi under the jurisdiction of the Church of Greece.
Life
Theodoros Mihalopoulos was born in 1932 in Piraeus, Greece. After completing studies in theology Theodoros entered the Holy Orders of the Church of Greece. He was ordained a deacon in 1954 and received the ecclesiastical name of Alexios. He was ordained a priest in 1961.
In 1976, Father Alexios was elected to the episcopate and consecrated a titular bishop on August 22, 1976. In 1991, Bp. Alexios was elected and enthroned as metropolitan of the Metropolis of Trikki and Stagoi from which had been partitioned off the Metropolis of Stagoi and Meteora.
