Exarch of the Holy Sepulchre

An Exarch of the Holy Sepulchre is a diplomatic representative of the Church of Jerusalem based outside the patriarchate's traditional territory. Such exarchs may be bishops, but are not required to be. They are typically at least high-ranking clergy, often an archimandrite.
