The Holy Archdiocese of Katanga and Mainland Africa is a diocese under the jurisdiction of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Alexandria and All Africa. Its territory includes the parishes and missions located in the large area of the former province of Katanga in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The area of Kolwezi in southern Zaire (modern Congo) had been the subject of the missionary works of the Athonite monk Meletios (Kamiloudes) since 1989. With the promulgation of Congo's constitution which divided the nation into many provinces, Meletios was made bishop of the newly-established Diocese of Kolwezi by a Patriarchal and Synodal decree on November 1, 2006 under the Archdiocese of Central Africa.

On October 9, 2009, the seat of the diocese was moved to the southernmost capital Lubumbashi in Haut-Katanga (near the border with Zambia), and the name of the bishopric was changed to Diocese of Katanga. On November 26, 2014, with the announced split of Katanga region into four new provinces by the Congolese government, the diocese was elevated to Archdiocese of Katanga and Mainland Africa.
