Polycarp I of Jerusalem was the patriarch of the Church of Jerusalem from 1808 to 1827.
Little is known of his life and patriarchate. He was enthroned on November 22, 1808 and reposed on January 15, 1827.
He restored the Church of the Holy Sepulchre after it had been damaged by a fire on October 11, 1808, a month before his enthronement.
On October 14, 1825, Patr. Polycarp joined with Patriarch Chrysanthus of Constantinople in a synod that suspended Theophilus II from his duties as Patriarch of Alexandria for having abandoned his patriarchal throne from 1818 to 1825 and remaining at his birthplace Patmos. This synodal action was taken under pressure from the Ottoman government during the Greek war of independence.
