The Malankara Jacobite Syriac Orthodox Church is an autonomous jurisdiction of the Syriac Orthodox Church of Antioch in India.

History
Malankara Syriac Orthodox Church or simply Jacobite Syrian Christian Church is one of the oldest Christian communities in India. It is believed to have established by Apostle Thomas in his journey to India in 52 AD.
Leadership
Head of the Church in India is Catholicos Baselios Thomas I and the supreme head is the H.H. Ignatius Zakka I Iwas, the Patriarch of Antioch and all the East.
