The '''Monastery of the Glorious Ascension(Resaca, George)''' is a [[cenobitic institution ]] [[monastery]] under the jurisdiction of the Patriarch of Jerusalem, [[Church Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalemin North and South America]].

The Monasterymonastery, popularly known as ‘Ascension Monastery’''Ascension Monastery'', is located in Resaca, Georgia, about sixty miles northwest of Atlanta along I75I-75. The Monastery monastery was founded in 1966 and was received into the [[Orthodox Church in America]] in August 1977, eventually breaking with the OCA and coming under the [[Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia]] (ROCOR). In 2002, the Brotherhood was received into the Patriarchate of Jerusalem from the [[ROCOR]] and made part of the [[Brotherhood of the Holy Sepulchre]], which is the Brotherhood from Saint Savvas’ Savvas' Monastery in the Judean Desert that is responsible for maintaining and protecting the [[Church of the Holy Sepulchre (Jerusalem)|Church of the Holy Sepulchre ]] and other Holy Sites holy sites and Shrines shrines in the Holy Land. The Monastery, also, supports the Saint Andry Rublev Guild that conducts iconography workshops at the Monastery.
