==Life==
As a member of the [[clergy]], Fr. Anthimos was appointed the priest in charge of the Church of St. Basil in Athens. He also has been an active writer, publishing many articles as well as producing the leaflet "The Lord's Voice" from 1965 to 1972. Fr. Anthimos was secretary of the [[Holy Synod]] of the Church of Greece and the Director of the Theological Boarding House of the [[Apostoliki Diakonia|Apostolic Diakonia]].
Fr. Anthimos was [[consecration of a bishop|consecrated]] to the episcopacy on [[July 13]], 1974. On [[April 26]], 2004, Fr. Anthimos was elected Metropolitan of the Metropolis of Thessalonica in northern Greece.
