Endyton

The endyton is the second of the three wrappings of cloth that covers the altar table during its vesting. The first is a white linen covering. Over it is laid the endyton which is a brilliant and embroidered material. The final cloth is the eileton of silk in which the antimension is contained when it is not in use.
