Automelon (Greek: auto, "self" + melon, "melody"; Church Slavonic: samopodoben)—pl. automela—is a sticheron which haa it's own melody, and serves as a model for other stichera. [1] Some examples of automela are "O most marvellous wonder", and "O house of Ephratha."[2]
