*20042003: Hieromonk (At this time, Fr Seraphim was already a [[hieromonk]] and the superior at the hermitage[[Hermitage of the Holy Cross (Wayne, West Virginia)|Hermitage]].*2008 Oct 14: Hmk Seraphim elevated to Hegumen.*2009: Hermitage of the Holy Cross became an independent monastery. Bp George (who was already both the spiritual father of the monastery and in residence at the monastery) was made abbot; Fr Hegumen Seraphim was made deputy abbot.
*2011: Fr Seraphim diagnosed with kidney cancer
*2012: Fr Seraphim diagnosed with squamous cell cancer in his right tonsil. Subsided in 2012, reappeared in Oct 2013.
