His Eminence, Archbishop '''Adam (Dubets)''' is the ruling hierarch of the [[Diocese of Przemysl and Novy Sandets]] of the [[Church of Poland]]. Abp. Adam has been in the forefront in the effort to reestablish the Orthodox Church in southeastern Poland.

==Life==
Alexander Dubets was born on [[August 14]], 1926 in the village of Florinka in the Lemkovshina area of Poland. He began his theological education after World War II at the Warsaw Orthodox Theological [[Seminary]] in 1960. In 1964, Alexander continued his graduate level education at the Christian Theological Academy in Warsaw, Poland, graduating with a degree of Master of Theology. Upon entering a [[monasticism|monastic]] life, Alexander was [[tonsure]]d a [[monk]] and given the name Adam.

In 1965, Monk Adam was [[ordination|ordained]] a [[priest]] and was assigned to serve the [[parish]]es in Lemkovshina, an area in which Orthodox Christians were greatly affected by World War II and its aftermath. The following year, 1966, he was named the dean of the rural area of the Ryashev region.

On [[January 30]], 1983, Fr. Adam was [[consecration of a bishop|consecrated]] Bishop of Przemysl and Novy Sandets. He was [[enthronement|enthroned]] at his [[see]] on [[October 30]], 1983. He was elevated to Archbishop in 1996. Through the following years, Abp. Adam has achieved success in reestablishing an Orthodox life in the Lemkovshina area, resurrecting many parishes as well as establishing new parishes and building [[church]]es and [[cathedral]]s. He has also established a book publishing activity within the [[diocese]] and begun a religious cultural center in the city of Gorlitsa.
