I am an Orthodox residing in Australia, hence my interest in the [[Orthodoxy in Australasia|Church in Australia and its near neighbours]]. Noticing the lack of information about Orthodoxy in Australia on OrthodoxWiki, I decided that the situation wasn't going to improve without personally doing something about it. A similar motivation was involved in adopting the featured articles (particularly as I seem to have exhausted most available information about Australasia), and in deciding to write up important biographies, particularly of ascetics (mainly because those are available to me).
On 14/July/05, i was made a sysop of OrthodoxWiki; while being sysop of OrthodoxWiki (and doing all the associated duties), special attention has been given to my pet topic of Orthodoxy in Australasia. I have put together a brief listing of [[User:Pistevo/meta|my OrthodoxWiki philosophy]].
I have had three articles that I began, and/or largely wrote, made into feature articles: [[Orthodoxy in Australasia]] (15 July 2005, since split into [[Orthodoxy in Australia]] and [[Orthodoxy in New Zealand]] due to excess size), St [[Irene Chrysovalantou]] (28 April 2006) and Elder [[Joseph the Hesychast]] (4 November 2006). I have made ''2449 over 4000 [[User:ASDamick/counter.js|edits]]'' on OrthodoxWiki (at [[July 26]], 2006), including ''195 template edits'', indicating my construction of a number of templates for use in Australasia and Oceania.
