Father John said I could leave you a note on this page, since I'm having trouble getting my submissions to the Trapeza to appear on the web page. Thank you very much for your thorough answer my question about the original Greek for a prayer. I apologize that I inadvertently asked about the''Italic text''wrong''Italic text'' prayer. I had asked about a prayer in Vespers for Dec. 31. However, I recently discovered the phrase "purest gold" is not used in that prayer, but is used in the third Aposticha in the "Propers for Great Compline of the Nativity of Our Lord, God and Savior, Jesus Christ." I would be forever grateful if you could check the original Greek in that prayer, to see if the term "purest gold" is used.
Thank you, again, for your kind attention to this matter.
