Taper-Bearers Not Extinct

The order still lives in HOCNA at least, I for example,
have a certificate and everything. But I'm not sure how
this fits in with the MCB, should it then say, "In some
non-mainstream churches there is a rank of minor clergy
called the taper-bearer, responsible for bearing lights
during processions and liturgical entrances; however, in
mainstream churches this rank has long ago been subsumed
by that of the reader..."? And from what I've seen
taper-bearers are replaced by priests rather than readers.Pente 01:56, October 25, 2010 (UTC)
