The '''Metropolis of Piraeus''' (also ''Peiraios'', ''Peiraeus''; Gr. Πειραιώς) is part of the [[Church of Greece]]. The Metropolis is located in the urban area adjacent to Athens.

In January 1962 , the Holy Metropolis of Peiraeus is founded under article 3952/1959 and the Royal decree from 16/17 December 1959.

The current [[metropolitan]] is His Eminence Metropolitan [[Seraphim (Mentzelopoulos) of Piraeus|Seraphim (Mentzelopoulos)]], who was elected by the [[Holy Synod ]] of Greece on [[February 28]], 2006.
