Andrew (Trempelas) of Dryinoupolis
His Eminence Metropolitan Andrew (Trempelas) of Dryinoupolis, also Andreas, is the ruling bishop of the New Lands Metropolis of Dryinoupolis, Pogoniani and Konitsa of the Church of Greece.
Life
Metr. Andrew was born in Patras, Greece in 1939. After completing his secondary education he entered and graduated from the Theological School of the University of Athens. He was ordained a deacon in 1968 by Metr. Sevastianos (Sebastian), which was followed by his ordination as a priest the following year. He served as a preacher. In 1969, he was elevated to the dignity of archimandrite.
Fr. Andrew was elected a bishop on January 27, 1995 to lead the Metropolis of Dryinoupolis, Pogoniani and Konitsa following the repose of Metr. Sevastianos.[1]
