His Eminence the Most Reverend Metropolitan '''Ambrosios ''Aristotelis'' (Ambrosios (Zographos) of Korea) of Korea''' is the second [[Metropolitan]] of the [[Ecumenical Patriarchate]]'s [[Orthodox Metropolis of Korea]].

The future Metropolitan Ambrosios was born Aristotle Zographos on [[March 15]], 1960 on the island of Aegina in Greece where he graduated . His early education, through high school, was on Aegina. After graduating from high School in 1978. In 1983 , he received his degree from attended the School of Theology of the University of Athensfrom which he received his degree in 1983. In 1985 he was [[ordination|ordained]] [[deacon]] and in 1991 [[presbyter]].

As a deacon and priest Following his ordination to the [[Holy Orders]] he served at the Metropolis of Nicea-Piraeus as Personal Secretary the personal secretary of the late Metropolitan [[Georgios (Pavlides) of Nicea]] and as well as Youth Director. He also served at the Metropolis of Monemvasia and Sparta.

From 1988 to 1989 he worked at the renowned Library and Icon Gallery of [[St. Catherine's Monastery (Sinai)|St. Catherine's Monastery]] on Mt. [[Mount Sinai ]] in Egypt.

From 1991 to 1993, through a scholarship from the [[Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America]], he studied at [[Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology (Brookline, Massachusetts)|Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology]] in Brookline, Massachusetts under a scholarship from the [[Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America]]. In 1993, where he received a ThMaster of Theology degree in Patrology from Holy Cross.MFr. Ambrosios continued his postgraduate studies from 1993 to 1996 at Princeton Theological Seminary as well as at Princeton University, in PatrologyPrinceton, New Jersey, from which he received his second master's degree in Church History and Art History. During this time he also began work on his dissertation for a doctorate degree.

From 1993 to 1996, under a scholarship from Princeton UniversityDuring the years of his studies in the United States, Fr. Ambrosios did postgraduate studies at Princeton Theological Seminary (PTS) as well served in various Greek Orthodox [[parish]]es in New England and New Jersey including as visiting [[pastor]] at Princeton University where he received his second masterthe Greek Orthodox churches of St. Barbara in Tom's degree River, New Jersey, and Holy Trinity in Church History and Art History. During this time he also began work on his dissertation for his doctorate degreeBargaintown, New Jersey.

During On [[December 21]], 1998, Fr. Ambrosios received a doctorate degree with distinction from the years School of Theology of his studies in the United States (1991-1996), Ambrosios served in various Greek Orthodox University of Athens. On [[parishDecember 23]]es , 1998 he traveled to South Korea to begin serving the Orthodox Church in New England and New Jersey Korea as visiting pastor at the Greek Orthodox communities Dean of St. Barbara, Nicholas Cathedral in Tom's River, New Jersey, Seoul and Holy Trinity Church in Bargaintown, New Jerseyas Chancellor of the [[Orthodox Metropolis of Korea]].

On [[December 21]], 19982005, he Fr. Ambrosios was awarded [[consecration of a doctorate degree with distinction bishop|consecrated Bishop of Zelon by the School [[Holy Synod]] of Theology the [[Church of Constantinople]]. On [[May 28]], 2008, the University Holy Synod of Athens, and on the [[December 23Ecumenical Patriarchate]] elected Bp. Ambrosios Metropolitan of Korea succeeding Metropolitan [[Sotirios (Trambas) of Pisidia]] whose resignation had been accepted by the Patriarchate on the same year he departed to Korea to begin serving the Orthodox Church in Korea as Dean of day. He was [[enthronement|enthroned]] on [[July 20]], 2008 at St. Nicholas Cathedral in Seoul and , as Chancellor of the [[Orthodox Metropolis second metropolitan of Korea]].

On Metr. Ambrosios has written extensively, producing articles in various magazines and published a number of studies and books. These include: ''The Social Teachings of St. [[December 21Gregory Palamas]], 2005Based on His 63 Homilies'', he was elevated to the ''The Contribution of St. [[bishop|episcopacyBasil the Great]] as Bishop to the Formation of Zelon by the Monastic Ideal'', ''[[Holy SynodIconography]] in the Liturgical life of the [[Ecumenical Patriarchate]]Medieval Greek Church'', and ''Gabriel Archbishop of Thessalonica and the Homiliarion attributed to him''.

In addition to many articles 1997, Metr. Ambrosios participated in various magazines, he has also published the following major studies and books: ''The Social Teachings conference of St. the [[Gregory PalamasWorld Council of Churches]], Based on His 63 Homilies''World Mission and Evangelism in Sao Paolo, ''The Contribution Brazil as a member of Stthe Patriarchal delegation and again in 2005 in Athens. Bishop Ambrosios has participated in the conference of the [[World Council of Churches]] on World Mission and Evangelism in Sao Paolo, Brazil (1997) as a member of the Patriarchal Delegation and in Athens (2005). In 1998 he participated in the Convention of Orthodox Theological Schools organized by [[Syndesmos]] in Belgrade, Serbia. The [[Holy Synod|synod]] of the [[Ecumenical]] [[Patriarchate]] of Constantinople elected Ambrosios as Metropolitan of Korea on May 28th, 2008 the same day it accepted the resignation of his predecessor, Metropolitan [[Sotirios (Trambas) of Pisidia]]. He was enthroned July 20th, 2008 at St. Nicholas Cathedral in Seoul, as the second metropolitan.  Apart from addition to his [[diakonia]] (service) at the Metropolis of Korea, he Metr. Ambrosios is also full professor at the newly established Department of Greek Studies at Hankuk University of Foreign Studiesin South Korea.
