The Archbishop's see is located in the city of Nicosia. The [[primate|primacy|primate]] of the Church of Cyprus is currently vacant, with the announcement of the retirement of Archbishop [[Chrysostomos (Kykkotis) of New Justiniana|Chrysostomos]] due to Alzheimer's disease. The [[Holy Synod]] of the Autocephalous Church of Cyprus is the highest Church Authority. There are five bishoprics with the ruling bishops styled as [[Metropolitan]]s. These bishoprics are: Paphos, Kitium, Kyrenia, Limassol, and Morphou.
