Dionysios (Kyratsos) of Drama

Metr. Dionysios was born in Arnea, Chalkidiki, near Thessalonica, in 1923. After he completed his basic education, he entered the University of [[Thessalonica]] to study theology, graduating with a Doctor of Philosophy degree.
He was [[ordination|ordained]] a [[deacon]] in 1945 and a [[priest]] in 1950. Fr. Dionysios was elected and [[consecration of a bishop|consecrated]] [[bishop]] of Drama in 1965. Metr. Dionysios reposed on [[September 30]], 2005. He was succeeded by Metropolitan Paul (Apostolidis).
