1997 Law

Hello Imerek, I appreciate your insight. However I would add that this is an official government law concerning the status of the Orthodox Church. To make a value-judgement on its effectiveness is really quite besides the point here; it is a legally binding status of the Orthodox Church. If the law has not changed anything as you say, then the better course of action would be to edit the entry for 1997, and add an additional statement to that effect, such as: "("...but it has not effected any practical change surrounding the Church"), or something to that effect.
