Talk:Pitirim of Moscow

The reference to Tikhomirov in the Source appears to say that Metr. Pitirim was metropolitan of Novgorod at the same time he was metropolitan of Krutitsy. Pitirim apparently was metropolitan of Krutitsy from 1658 on. Tikhomirov apparently places Pitirim as Metropolitan of Novgorod from 1664 to 1672. Not having Tikhomirov available to see what he said, and no other sources to clarify that Pitirim actually was "double hatted", the chronology would tend toward that the two metropolitans were two different people. The availability of any other independent sources could clarify the situation. Wsk 01:14, August 5, 2011 (UTC)
