In May 1985, he was appointed [[Bishop]] of Banat. On [[December 30]], 1991, Vladyka Amfilohije was enthroned to the [[See]] of the Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Coastlands.
Metr. Amfilohije is fluent in the Greek, Russian, Italian, German, and French languages and is the author of an entire series of theological works. He continues to occupy himself with translating activity. His works have been published in Serbian and Greek. Vladyka is a member of the Union of Writers of Serbia and Montenegro. He is known as an active, social activist.
