Help:How to create a new page
There are three different ways to create a new page on OrthodoxWiki. Before creating a new page, however, it can be useful to search OrthodoxWiki to see what other articles might have relevant material.
First method: Existing links
Click on an existing "broken" link in a current page, that is, a link which does not take you to another article but rather to an empty editing box, like this one here: broken link. Please don't use this exact link: the link will become the new article's title.
You will be taken to an editing screen in which you can type your article. Click the "Save page" button at the bottom, and your new article is made.
Second method: New links
Edit an existing page (such as your user page or an existing article) to include a new link, by either putting double brackets around a word or phrase in the article or by adding in a new word or phrase with double brackets around it. Either way, it should look like this: [[New article name]]
Click the "Save page" button at the bottom, then find your link in the newly edited article and click on it. See "First method" above.
If you don't want to change the existing article in order to enable the creation of your new article, you can edit the Sandbox or your userpage to create the links.
Third method: URL
In the URL window of your browser (usually at the top where you see addresses like http://www.orthodoxwiki.org/), type in the name of your new article preceded by http://www.orthodoxwiki.org/, including underscores for what would be spaces in the name, like this:
Some browsers do not require the underscores, so you can type in the link like this instead:
- http://www.orthodoxwiki.org/New article name
You'll then be presented with a few options to click on, including one near the top of the page to start the new article.
