I have seen icons and books of Elder Joseph referred to as "the Hesychast" as well as "the Cavedweller" (or Spilaiotis in Greek) so the title and intro can show that. I think "Spilaiotis" is not his last name, but means "Cave-dweller" as he is also known as. This means that his parents do not have this as a last name. If this is the case, we need to remove "Spilaiotis" from his parents' name.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Dlavdas (talk • contribs) .
- If Spilaiotis means Cave-dweller, then it should definitely be removed - from his parents' names, the intro and the title.
- The references for Spilaiotis are here (ctrl-f 'Joseph'), which uses Spilaiotis and Spelaiotis and here, where there is one use as a surname (Elias Spilaiotis) and one as a title (O Geron Arsenios o Spilaiotis).—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Pistevo (talk • contribs) .
