Its current director is [[Chaplain]] Patrick TutellaFor Orthodox Christians who have been arrested for crimes, OCPM helps them return to the Faith, offering forgiveness and reconciliation with Christ. For both Orthodox and non-Orthodox alike, OCPM provides spiritual care, enabling prisoners to find hope and purpose in their lives.
OCPM was founded by Fr. [[Duane Pederson]] in 1991 as a ministry of the [[Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America]]. In 2005OCPM provides incarcerated men and women personalized spiritual care, Bibles, books, icons, OCPM was chartered by [[SCOBA]] as its official prison ministry. Through 2009catechism, OCPM has ministered to over 700 prisoners and former prisoners, many of whom have converted study courses. For those wishing to the live an Orthodox Church. As way of 2009life, it is working with over 250 OCPM advocates on their behalf for correctional facilities around the United States to recognize the Orthodox catechumens in American prisonsfaith, as well as over 300 homeless or needy former prisoners, as well as the spouses so that priests can enter prison facilities and children of current prisoners. Approximately 275 prisoners per year participate in Orthodox study courses through administer the St. Athanasius AcademySacraments. Through the work of  OCPMalso provides resources and training to local parishes and clergy wishing to start their own local prison ministries and publishes spiritual books and icons, five men which have been tonsured Orthodox monks designed for use in prison, and several prisoners have become iconographers. In addition Since its inception, OCPM has published eight booksdistributed more than 1 million spiritual publications and more than 2 million icons to prisoners.
