His Eminence '''Alexander (Papadopoulos) of Mantineia and Kynouria''' is the Metropolitan of the [[Metropolis of Mantineia and Kynouria]] under the [[jurisdiction]] of the [[Church of Greece]]. He has been the ruling hierarch of the metropolis since 1995.

== Life==
Metropolitan Alexander was born in 1936 in Papari, Arcadia, in the central part of the Peloponnese peninsula of Greece. He studied theology in Athens before his [[ordination]] as a [[deacon]] in 1968. He was ordained a [[priest]] in 1969. In 1976, Father Alexander was appointed the secretary of the conciliar courts.

In 1984, Fr. Alexander was elected to the [[episcopate]] and was [[consecration of a bishop|consecrated]] the [[metropolitan]] of the [[Metropolis of Nafpaktos]] and Agios Vasilioson on [[May 5]], 1984. In 1995, Metr. Alexander was transferred to the [[see]] of Mantinia and Kinouria and [[enthronement|enthroned]] on [[January 25]], 1995 as the Metropolitan of Mantinia and Kinouria.
