:I assume the blog you are referring to is http://blog.beliefnet.com/crunchycon/2009/04/father-arseny-truth-or-fiction.html.  It contains a number of comments about the truthfulness of the story. As St Vladimir's Seminary was the publisher of the book, I would suggest contacting them directly if the comments aren't sufficient.

Does anyone know if the book is fact or fiction? I saw a blog where it was said that it is a work of pious fiction? --Fr Lev 20:26, January 7, 2010 (UTC)

I assume the blog you are referring to is http://blog.beliefnet.com/crunchycon/2009/04/father-arseny-truth-or-fiction.html. It contains a number of comments about the truthfulness of the story. As St Vladimir's Seminary was the publisher of the book, I would suggest contacting them directly if the comments aren't sufficient.
The reference to the book from Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Father_Arseny is: "the servant of God Alexander", ed. Vera Bouteneff, trans., ed (1998). Father Arseny, 1893-1973: Priest, Prisoner, Spiritual Father. Crestwood, NY: St. Vladimir's Seminary Press. ISBN 0881411809. Wsk 14:53, January 8, 2010 (UTC)
