The [[Acts of the Apostles]] mention mentions that St. Crispus, as the chief ruler of the synagogue, "believed on the Lord with all his house" (Acts 18:8). Crispus is also one referred to by Saint St. [[Apostle Paul| Paul]] in the First Epistle to the Corinthians. I as someone he had [[baptism|baptized Crispus, writes the great Apostle. ]] (Acts18:8 and [[I Corinthians|1 Cor. ]] 1:14).
