'''Apostolos Makrakis''' (1831-1905) was a Greek [[laity|lay]] [[theology|theologian]] and philosopher. He was born in 1831 in on Siphnos Island and died on [[December 25]], 1905 in Athens.He was born in the village of Katavati, and his bust is in the square bearing his name at the entrance of the village. He is buried in his family chapel dedicated to the Virgin Mary's Annunciation.
