His Eminence '''Panteleimon (Rodopoulos)''' is was the Metropolitan of Tyroloa and Serentium from 1977 to 2019 under the [[jurisdiction]] of the [[Church of Constantinople]] and [[Exarch]] of Thrace. Metr. Panteleimon is was noted for his involvement in the Orthodox theological education. He is was a member of the Metropolitans - Archbishops of the Throne of the Church of Constantinople.

In addition to his position as professor at the University of Thessalonica, Fr. Panteleimon took on the duties of dean of the [[St. John of Damascus Institute of Theology (Tripoli, Lebanon)|St. John of Damascus Institute of Theology]], first in Lebanon from 1972 to 1975 and then in Thessalonica from 1975 to 1979, during the time the school was relocated to Thessalonica due to the war in Lebanon.
In 1974, Fr. Panteleimon was elected to the [[Episcopate|episcopate]] by the [[Holy Synod]] of the Ecumenical Patriarchate. He was [[consecration of a bishop|consecrated]] Metropolitan of Tyanon on [[June 8]], 1974. In 1977, he was transferred to the [[see]] of the Metropolis of Tyroloa and Serentium. In 1985, Metr, Panteleimon was appointed [[abbot]] of Moni Vlatadon [[monastery]] in Thessalonica. Metropolitan Panteleimon reposed in the Lord in August 7th, 2019.
