In studying how the Church of Finland site showing "parishes", it appears to me that the "parish" is a block of territory, such as the US state of Louisiana uses "parish" instead of "county". - Parish in Greek is essentially diocese in common English usage. It seems, though, that Finland may be using parish in a somewhat novel fashion. —Fr. Andrew talk contribs (THINK!) 21:22, June 3, 2009 (UTC)
