The '''Holy Monastery of the Prophet Elias''' is a [[monasticism|monastic]] community for [[monk|men]] under the [[Diocese of Australia and New Zealand (ROCOR)|Diocese of Australia and New Zealand]], [[Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia|ROCOR]]. The monastery is located in Monarto South, South Australia, and was established<!-- under the [[omophorion]] of His Grace [[Archbishop]] [[name (surname) of place|name of place]]--> by Hieromonk [[Benjamin (Forbes)]], who remains the [[abbotsuperior]].
Currently, the Monastery also has a leading role in running the [http://www.australianorthodox.org Holy Cross Australian Orthodox Mission] in Melbourne, each considering the other integral to itself.

In December 2005, Archbishop Hilarion tonsured the Mission recently tonsured its first nun, Rassophore Mariaat the Mission.
In March 2006, Hieromonk Benjamin visited the Archimandrite [[Daniel Bambang dwi Byantoro|Daniel]], the head of the ROCOR Mission in [[Gareja Orthodox Indonesia|Indonesia]].
In May 2006, Fr Benjamin presented at workshop on Icons and Iconography at the Mount Gambier Regional Art Gallery.
