*1984 - Fr Hilarion, at 36 years of age, was consecrated a bishop by Metropolitan [[Philaret (Voznesensky) of New York]] and nine other bishops. Bishop Hilarion begins serving his diocese, overseeing the parishes in Pennsylvania, and was appointed deputy secretary for the Synod of Bishops.
*1995 - Bp Hilarion granted title of ''Bishop of Washington'', retaining his residence in New York.
*1996 - Bp Hilarion transferred to Diocese of Australia and New Zealandand raised to the rank of Archbishop.
*2003 - Bp Hilarion awarded the honour of wearing a diamond cross on his [[klobuk]].
