==History==
The Diocese of Sierra Leone was established by Patriarchal and Synodal decree in on [[October 2009 7]], 2010 when the Church of Alexandria elevated the [[Diocese of Ghana]] to an [[archdiocese]] with a new name, the [[Archdiocese of Accra]], and established the '''Diocese of Sierra Leone''' under its omophorion. Despite being founded, the diocese remained without any elected bishop.
During the [[November 21]], 2012 Fall meeting of the [[Holy Synod]] of the Church of Alexandria the Diocese of Sierra Leone was elevated to and renamed the Archdiocese of Conakry Guinea and Guineathe African Coast, receiving its first hierarch, the current Abp George.
