== Biography ==
In 1982, he was tonsured to the [[small schema]] and ordained a [[deacon]] and priest by Bishop Maxim in Omsk. In 1983 he was elevated to hegumen, and appointed the confessor of the Omsk-Tiumen Diocese and served in a newly opened parish in Shablinkin, near Ishim.
In 1989, together with some ten other priests of the Diocese, he petitioned reception into the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia. Metroplitan [[Vitaly (Ustinov) of New York|Vitaly (Ustinov)]] received him on the third day of Pentacost in 1990. In 1992, he organized the opening of the Cathedral of the Theophany in Ishim, which he labored to build. [[July 13]], 1990 hegumen Eutyches was prohibited from serving by bishop [[Anthony (Cheremisov) of TobolskKrasnoyarsk|Anthony]] of Tobolsk and Tyumen.
In January 1994, he was elevated to archimandrite in ROCOR.
In the late 1990s, he spoke out against reconciliation with the Moscow Patriarchate, but later, in 2002, he upheld the decision of the ROCOR Synod of Bishops, which were aimed at expanding the dialogue with the ROC. Since 2003 he was participant in the negotiations with the ROC. He has appeared as a supporter of the restoration of full communion between ROCOR and Moscow Patriarchate.
[[December 22]], 2006, Archbishop Anthony, who banned prohibit from serving Eutychy (Kurochkin), released him from sanctions, imposing in 1990.
The Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church on [[May 16]], 2007 appointed him Bishop of Domodedovo, the vicar of the Moscow diocese and entrusted him temporary pastoral nourishment of the former parishes of the ROCOR in Russia for five years, according to the [[Act of Canonical Communion]].
