His Eminence '''Nicholas (Drosos) of Karpenision''' is the [[Metropolitan]] of the [[Metropolis of Karpenision]] under the [[jurisdiction]] of the [[Church of Greece]]. The [[metropolis]] is located in central Greece. He has been the metropolitan since 1979.

==Life==
Metr, Nicholas was born in 1929 in Emporio on the island of Thera in the Aegean Sea. He received his theological education at the University of Athens. Entering the [[Holy Orders]], he was [[ordination|ordained]] a [[deacon]] in 1958 and a [[priest]] in 1959. 

Father Nicholas was elected to the [[episcopate]] by the [[Holy Synod]] of the Church of Greece on [[November 1]], 1979 and [[enthronement|enthroned]] Metropolitan of Karpenision.
