The Holy Orthodox Metropolis of Australia & Oceania is an Old Calendarist body with parishes in New South Wales, Victoria and the Democratic Republic of Congo. This entity is not in communion with any of the mainstream Orthodox Churches.
Administration
- Metropolitan Christodoulos of Neon Patron is the Exarch of the Metropolis of Australia & Oceania, as part of the Holy Synod headed by Abp Serapheim (Holy Synod of the Church of Greece (Patristic Calendar)).
- Protopresbyter George Athanasiadis is the Vicar-General of the Metropolis.
Other information
- The Holy Synod of the Church of Greece (Patristic Calendar), while not recognised by any mainstream Orthodox Church, is registered as a church body by the government of Greece.
- Protocol 134 31/1/2012 allows the then-newly-formed Metropolis to follow the 'New Calendar' by economia.
