The Society for Orthodox Christian History (SOCHA) in the Americas is an organization founded to promote the study of Orthodox Christianity as it exists and came to exist in the "New World" of North and South America.

Matthew Namee founded SOCHA in 2009, realizing that among the problems in trying to study the history of the Orthodox Church in the United States are the problems of jurisdictional squabbles, claims to primacy, as well as "history" that, passed down, becomes myth. SOCHA aims to serve as a way to bring Orthodox history, substantiated by primary sources, to the public, as well as becoming a place where researchers can find source materials.
