Talk:Photius II (Maniatis) of Constantinople
Article name
I didnt want to put in his surname, because I was not certain of the transliteration of Μανιάτης (Maniatis or Maniates), and thus didnt want to necessitate a series of moves/renames. I was also going to put this on ASDamick's talk page, but since he seems to be semi-retired the talk page is locked from editing. Hellenica 10:17, November 29, 2006 (PST)
- An additional redirect can be added for the "Maniates" version if necessary. (Redirects are, as they say, cheap!) In any event, the standard titling for articles on bishops is to include the surname, if known. See: OrthodoxWiki:Style Manual (People). —Fr. Andrew talk contribs 12:07, November 29, 2006 (PST)
- I was aware of the standard title formatting, but I didnt know what the best transliteration would be, and thus whether to call it (Maniatis) or (Maniates). I was just hoping to avoid multiple renames/moves. Either way... six of one, half dozen of the other. Hellenica 12:42, November 30, 2006 (PST)
