According to the Antiochian Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia and New Zealand, a letter from Bishop [[Seraphim (Ginis) of Apollonias|Seraphim]] in April 2000 was the last correspondence out of SCCOCA, and the last activity of SCCOCA was in early 1999; hence SCCOCA, having long been moribund, became defunct.{{citation}} According to the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia, however, the acceptance of schismatic Romanian communities run by defrocked priests has forced SCCOCA to exclude the Antiochian Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia and New Zealand from membership until said actions are reversed.{{citation}}
