On the [[August 28|28th of August]], 2005, Archimandrite Nabil was appointed commenced duties as Dean of St. George Cathedral, Sydney, replacing Fr Nicholas Nicolas Mansour who had retired due to illnessafter 42 years of priestly service at the Cathedral.
