His Grace '''Mitrophan (KodicKodić)''' is the Bishop of Eastern America of the Serbian Orthodox Church in North and South America under the [[jurisdiction]] of the [[Church of Serbia]], a position he has held since 1991.
==Life==
Bishop Mitrophan was born in 1951 in the village of Ljusa, Sipovo, in Bosna. After he completed his basic education in 1966, he entered the [[seminary]] at [[Monastery Krka]], in central Dalmatia, Croatia, from which he graduated in 1971. Having chosen a [[monasticism|monastic]] life, in 1970, he was [[tonsure]]d a[[monk]], with the name Mitrophan, and [[ordination|ordained]] a [[hierodeacon]] on successive days by Bishop [[Stefan (BoceBocа)]].
Dcn. Mitrophan continued his education at the Theological Faculty in Bucharest, Romania, completing his studies in 1975. After his ordination to the [[priest]]hood, he was assigned to the Seminary of the Holy Three Hierarchs in the Monastery Krka in 1977. In 1979, Father Mitrophan passed his professorship exam. In 1980, he was assigned as assistant Rector of the Seminary and raised to the position of Rector in 1987.
