Welcome to OrthodoxWiki!

Hello, Jim N., and welcome to OrthodoxWiki!

Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Please note that OrthodoxWiki is always in development, so not everything works quite right yet. You can help, though!

OrthodoxWiki is a community-edited encyclopedia of Orthodox Christianity. Articles are created and edited by our members, and so everything that we do here is subject to review and revision. The result is a true consensus product, with every interested editor contributing his own knowledge and writing skills. As such, when you feel that criticism of an article is warranted, we encourage you to join in and fix it! Don't worry about breaking anything or doing something wrong—the other editors here are happy to jump in and help you learn.

Hi Jim,

Good to see you here! Welcome, and thanks for your contributions. Fr. John

Capitalization in article names

Hi, Jim.

How are you creating new articles? I'm curious, as it seems that you're creating articles with all lower-case names and then renaming them to be properly capitalized. It's possible to create articles with correct capitalization in them. See How to create a new article for info. ——Fr. Andrew talk contribs (THINK!) 17:32, 1 Aug 2005 (EDT)

Hi Reader Andrew,

I guess this is where I'm suppose to reply? :) I was typing in 'Joseph the betrothed' next to the domain name to see if a page existed already, and when it didn't I created one. But I've since realized that I can type in 'Joseph the Betrothed' and everything works out the first time. Sorry for the trouble.

Hi Jim,
Don't worry about it, everything is easily fixed. You have to jump in and break some things to get the hang of it -- that's the learning process. Don't feel like you're stepping on eggshells! Also, about replies, you can respond either here or on the other User's talk page, each has it's advantage. If it's someone like me or Rdr Andrew, we check the changelogs pretty frequently so we'd be able to catch any comments you leave here. But if it's someone else, or there's a time delay, it might be better to respond to another user on their talk page since then they'll get that bright "new messages" signal when they login. - Fr. John

No trouble at all. Just wanted to make sure that you were saturated with KNOWLEDGE.  :) ——Fr. Andrew talk contribs (THINK!) 18:38, 1 Aug 2005 (EDT)

Hey, Jim. Since you're adding all these good articles about apostles, you might want to know that the word in their titles is spelled laudable.  :) ——Fr. Andrew talk contribs (THINK!) 09:50, 2 Aug 2005 (EDT)

lol... good to know. Thx. ;)
