Welcome to OrthodoxWiki!

Hello, George, and welcome to OrthodoxWiki!

Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Please note that OrthodoxWiki is always in development, so not everything works quite right yet. You can help, though!

OrthodoxWiki is a community-edited encyclopedia of Orthodox Christianity. Articles are created and edited by our members, and so everything that we do here is subject to review and revision. The result is a true consensus product, with every interested editor contributing his own knowledge and writing skills. As such, when you feel that criticism of an article is warranted, we encourage you to join in and fix it! Don't worry about breaking anything or doing something wrong—the other editors here are happy to jump in and help you learn.

Witnessing to Non-Orthodox

George, it is a good idea to have a well-written article which pulls together information about various non-Orthodox groups in terms of their relation to Orthodoxy, and how to address their questions about Orthodoxy, as well as how to provide an example of how to live an Orthodox life. Keep in mind that, except for the complete articles contributed to OrthodoxWiki which have been protected from editing, improvements and standardizations should be expected for any article. In other words, read what's already here to get a good idea of what this is about (Ecumenism, Evangelicalism, and Introduction to Orthodox Christianity might be good places to start), get comfortable with the wiki-markup (see the welcome links above), and forge ahead. If you'd like to enlist help, try posting your ideas at OrthodoxWiki:Help wanted. [[User:Magda|—magda (talk)]] 10:14, 26 Aug 2005 (EDT)
