Greetings Derek! I hope you don't mind, but I fixed up your quote on the Buzz page a little bit. Please feel free to fix it back up if you wish - they're your words! Thanks, Fr. John 15:00, 6 Feb 2005 (CST)

Fedya, you might want to check out the Style Guide if you want your dates to link to the church calendar. --magda 10:57, 15 Mar 2005 (CST)

Hey there!  I noticed that you uploaded a couple images today, but you forgot to tag them appropriately with the appropriate image license.  I put one on :Image:Philokalia.jpg, but :Image:Ladder of Divine Ascent.jpg still needs one.  Thanks!  --[[User:ASDamick|Rdr. Hi Derek,

It's great to see more contributions. Just one thing though - I'd like to try to preserve N.P.O.V. as the main tone of voice throughout OrthodoxWiki. This basically means adopting a descriptive rather than presecriptive tone, so instead of "The Filioque is a heresy" we'd say something like "Others think that the addition of the filioque clause to the Nicene-Constantinopolitan Creed was the consummation of a creeping heresy in the Western church." (For more on NPOV, please see OrthodoxWiki:Style_Manual#Neutrality_and_the_OrthodoxWiki_Bias).

The rationale behind this is to recognize that solidly Orthodox people can hold different positions on this topic. If there's a disagreement about something let's strive to say who thinks what and why rather than just stating our own opinion. I hope that makes sense!

Just had this thought after reading your page, and thought that if anyone knew about something like this, it'd be you... Do you know if anyone has done Fine Art Animated GIF Iconography? E.g. stuff like https://www.saatchigallery.com/mpp/ and http://www.bbc.com/culture/story/20140318-can-gifs-be-fine-art - I know I've seen some other beautiful ones, but it's hard to search for amid all the junk out there. -Dclark (talk) 17:39, March 10, 2020 (UTC)

NPOV

Thanks again, Fr. John

Silly Idea: Animated GIF Iconography

Just had this thought after reading your page, and thought that if anyone knew about something like this, it'd be you... Do you know if anyone has done Fine Art Animated GIF Iconography? E.g. stuff like https://www.saatchigallery.com/mpp/ and http://www.bbc.com/culture/story/20140318-can-gifs-be-fine-art - I know I've seen some other beautiful ones, but it's hard to search for amid all the junk out there. -Dclark (talk) 17:39, March 10, 2020 (UTC)
